DESCRIPTION:Pipeline giant Williams Transco has been granted federal approval for the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project — a new high-pressure methane gas pipeline that would run through Wallburg\, Midway and Welcome. The project would also expand a compressor station northwest of Lexington. \nWhile this pipeline would pass through Davidson County communities\, it would primarily serve large industrial customers outside the county and create only a handful of permanent local jobs. \nJoin Appalachian Voices and Clean Water for North Carolina for a public meeting to discuss next steps for community pipeline monitoring and actions you can take to protect your community from potential new methane gas power plants. \nThis event will be on Thursday\, Feb. 26\, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
