DESCRIPTION:Join NC WARN and Dr. Rania Masri\, the Director of Organizing and Policy at the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network (NCEJN)\, for a critical discussion on how ecocide is used as a tool of oppression and imperialism. \nDrawing on real-world examples\, including the ongoing genocide in Palestine\, the webinar will explore the relationships between imperialism and ecocide\, and discuss how environmental destruction is strategically deployed to seize land\, control water and resources\, and perpetuate systems of oppression. \nSettler-colonial violence and genocide cannot be separated from environmental harm\, which is why climate justice movements must address both and build pathways forward grounded in solidarity\, accountability\, and systemic transformation. \nThis event is on Tuesday\, March 24 at 5:30 pm.
