SUMMARY:In-Person: A Day Without Child Care Rally & Stroll
DESCRIPTION:Register: A Day Without Child Care Rally & Stroll: Monday\, May 12 • 10 AM. Raleigh & Charlotte Early educators\, families\, and advocates are joining forces to demand permanent solutions to the child care crisis that’s impacting children\, providers\, and communities across our state. The National Domestic Workers Alliance is calling for legislative action and sustainable investment in child care. This rally is centered around two critical priorities from the 2025 NC Child Care Policy Agenda: (1) Appropriating $220 million to set a statewide child care subsidy rate floor to stabilize programs and pay providers closer to the true cost of care; (2) Securing $60 million to help child care workers access child care themselves.
