Join Siembra NC in their event “We Will Dwell in Safety”: A Day of Prayer & Action to pray for the safety of all North Carolinians and invite law enforcement officials into prayerful reflection on their even greater responsibility for public safety. On June 24, 2026, the North Carolina General Assembly voted to override Governor Josh Stein’s veto on SB-153, a law that requires state law enforcement agencies to collaborate with ICE. This could create a new crisis of public safety crisis for our state, depending on how those agencies respond to the law’s passage.
