National Wildlife Federation: Virtual roundtable discussion on AI data centers

Hosted by the Clean Economy Coalition of Color, join the National Wildlife Federation’s Environmental Justice, Health, and Community Resilience and Revitalization program for a second roundtable discussion on data center developments and their impacts on our lives.
Moderated by Dr. Khalil Shahyd, learn from a panel of experts about the current policy landscape for data center developments and potential avenues for stronger public health protections. With greater federal interest in expanding the artificial intelligence industry, many people have questions about the impact of data center infrastructures on the health of local residents and natural resources as well as their ability to participate in these decisions. Join us and connect with other attendees on this critical issue!
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask panelists questions and discuss their own experiences with data center developments during the roundtable. We are also accepting video and audio question submissions to share with panelists before the roundtable and to share on our program’s Instagram in the weeks leading up to the event.
This event will be held on Thursday February 19 at 6:00 pm. Online registration is required.
