The Southern Environmental Law Center, Duke Environmental Law and Policy Clinic, and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice respectfully submit the attached comments on behalf of the Yadkin Riverkeeper, the Concerned Citizens of West Badin, the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network, CleanAIRE NC, North Carolina Black Alliance, Toxic Free NC, North Carolina Conservation Network, North Carolina Sierra Club, Concerned Citizens of Northampton County, and the University of North Carolina Environmental Justice Action Research Clinic, to inform DEQ’s renewal of NPDES permit NC0004308 to Alcoa’s Badin Business Park.
