Community Resources - ICE + CBP

Dear Community,

In November 2025, over 180 people were kidnapped by ICE and Customs and Border “Protection” (CBP) in Charlotte. A few weeks later, we got news that CBP and ICE are expected in Wake County. Siembra NC and other frontline organizations are ready and have the experience that can guide us on strategies to protect ourselves and our communities.

As environmental justice organizers, we recognize that keeping each other safe is paramount to our work. We are all each other’s keepers.

Are you looking for training or volunteer opportunities to protect our neighbors from Border Patrol and ICE? Defend and Recruit is a project of Siembra NC, a Latino base-building organization in North Carolina.

(Siembra NC also set up a website to track ICE in NC):

  • OJO Obrero (ojonc.org) is a website that maps information about confirmed ICE operations in our state to help parents and workers get to school and work safely. OJO Obrero only features sightings that we can confirm involve federal immigration agents, rather than crowdsourced reports. As always, if you see something that you suspect could be an immigration enforcement action in progress, call our hotline at (336) 543-0353 or the hotline number in the About tab so we can verify and provide support. - from Siembra NC instagram account
