Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, a radical who encouraged all to engage in many forms of “direct political action and tactics” beyond just voting during the election seasons.
MONDAY, JANUARY 20 @ 9:30am
Join Coalition Against Racism, North of the River Ass’n. and other human rights organizations at: Thomas Foreman Park (400 Nash Street – CM Eppes Gym)
We will safely and peacefully march, (or opt to follow in a vehicle caravan), to the Pitt Co. Courthouse (100 W. 3rd St.) for a rally on the steps.
There will be a “Peoples’ Feast” @ Moyewood Cultural & Community Center, 1710 West 3rd St., (In the public housing complex), following the march and rally
We won’t let anyone; not Trump, not the Right-wing, Conservatives who control the Legislatures in Raleigh, NC or Washington, DC, nor the Greenville officials who deny us quality, affordable rental housing in the name of “economic development”, stop us!
OUR PURPOSE IS JUSTICE, AND WE WILL NOT BE DENIED!
If Martin Luther King were alive today, he would be marching in the street and demanding the U.S. government immediately stop funding Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the rest of the Middle East. He would unite with us to build a movement against “the giant triplets” of racism, materialism, and militarism. He would say “CEASE FIRE NOW! and END THE BLOCKADE OF BOTH CUBA AND PALESTINE!
LET’S HONOR DR KING’S OPPOSITION TO WAR AND SUPPORT FOR ECONOMIC JUSTICE!
