Sign the petition: Tell the Senate to oppose all funding for ICE before 1/30!
ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has operated for years with extraordinary power and almost no accountability. The result has been predictable and devastating: excessive force, civil rights violations, secrecy, and a culture that treats abuse as collateral damage.
Since this weekend’s killing of Alex Pretti by federal agents, many Democrats are speaking out and are demanding a fundamental change in how Congress approaches ICE funding.
But words are not enough. As long as Congress continues to approve funding without enforceable reforms, nothing changes. Investigations stall. Oversight fails. Communities pay the price.
Government funding runs out on 1/30. This is the leverage point.
The House has passed a DHS funding bill that does not rein in ICE, but it still has to pass the Senate. Senate Democrats must refuse to fund ICE unless reforms are written into law and backed by real enforcement. No more funding first, accountability later.
Senate Democrats have the power to force this choice, and some Republicans might join them. Every member of Congress needs to know the public is watching. Please sign the petition to the Senate now.
