Volunteer Workday at Avila Center for Community Leadership on Saturday, July 19th • 9:00 AM—12:30 PM with the Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW). USSW believes in reclaiming the dignity of labor by transforming how we relate to work, especially the kinds of labor that are too often undervalued or invisible. Volunteering at Avila is one way to collectively steward a space that has sustained so many of our gatherings, relationships, and political work. (Bonus: free burgers, hot dogs, and snacks for all volunteers!)
