WRAL News recently reported on Poe Hall, on the campus of North Carolina State University, regarding an environmental attorney accusing the school of neglecting cancer risk in the building.

More than 200 workers and alumni allegedly developed cancer after spending long amounts of time in Poe Hall. The culprit is alleged to be exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), manmade chemicals with no smell or taste that suppress the immune system, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Bryan Brice and his team of attorneys are representing the alleged victims, recently conducted their own testing and determined that Poe Hall is a “toxic building.” According to WRAL News, the federal government plans to investigate the building, led by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
