The Environmental Justice (EJ) Fellows Program financially supports community members in building their organizing skills and leadership for environmental justice.
The program supports organizers to have time and resources to engage deeply in advocacy work within their own communities while also connecting with a state-wide network through NCEJN. Fellows spend the majority of their time working with their local organizations, and a portion on coalition-building and networking across North Carolina. This dual focus strengthens grassroots efforts and promotes strategic collaboration on EJ issues such as toxic waste, environmental racism, and workers’ rights. The program empowers fellows to lead campaigns to address local challenges while being part of a larger movement for systemic change.
EJ Fellowships last for two years.
