I hope that this week has been productive for you, moving us all a little bit closer to the world we envision.

As your work day comes to a close and you get ready for the week-end, I hope you take some time to include the following events in your calendar for the coming days. All these events will assist us in organizing more powerfully for change — whether by learning, collaborating and supporting each other, or speaking out.

April 23: Check out the livestream for the next hearing by the NC Utilities Commission at 6.30 pm.
April 24, a hybrid discussion on the ‘intersection on climate and labor movements’
April 24 & April 25, ‘Virtual Summit’ – a series of excellent webinars by the Socially Responsible Agriculture Project (SRAP), including a discussion on ‘pushing back on factory farm biogas’ on April 24 and ‘collaborating for a socially responsible food future’ on April 25!
April 30: A state-wide Carbon Plan Rally to be held in Durham. Duke Energy and the NC Utilities Commission are working to push through a 2-year carbon plan that doesn’t really cut carbon. See below for details on the Rally, and read the report card on the NCUC!
May 1 (May Day) – Join workers and the community across the Triangle for a demonstration. Endorse and get involved!
