Join the April 30th Rally in Durham
May Day: Calls to Action!
Join a political action and lobby day hosted by El Pueblo and Alianza NC on Wednesday, May 1st from 9AM to 4PM. A lunch break and interpretation will be provided. With the short session starting soon in the General Assembly, this collective of Latinx and immigrant organizations will be there to speak with our state representatives about an anti-immigrant bill called HB10. HB10 is a bill that would require Sheriffs to cooperate with ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement), which will endanger the undocumented, immigrant community in our state. This bill was one of many bills that passed the crossover deadline from last year’s long session and is now eligible to be considered during this year’s short session. Please register.
