Factory farms, aka CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations) represent everything that is wrong with our food system today. They:
– endanger public health by polluting our local air and waterways
– release harmful emissions that accelerate the climate crisis
– enable further consolidation of the meat industry, and
– supply to meatpacking facilities that are exploitative and hazardous to working people.
